AI Visibility Alerts

Configure alert conditions for brand visibility and competitor activity in AI answers.

AI Visibility alerts highlight meaningful movement in AI responses. Use them to monitor important changes without manually reviewing every check.

AI Visibility alerts can cover:

  • visibility appeared
  • visibility lost
  • visibility rose
  • visibility fell
  • new sponsored placement
  • sponsored placement stopped
  • competitor sponsored activity

The exact alert titles shown in the app depend on the detected event.

Visibility alerts are useful when your brand begins or stops appearing, or when the visibility percentage changes materially between runs.

A visibility alert compares the last three runs against the three before them and needs both a material swing (15 percentage points) and a swing larger than sampling noise would explain at your campaign’s size. Every check is one sample of a non-deterministic answer, so a campaign with a handful of prompts alerts only on dramatic moves, while a campaign with many prompts and platforms alerts on modest ones. Runs where most checks failed are skipped rather than read as lost visibility.

Use visibility alerts for:

  • product launches
  • brand campaigns
  • high-intent category prompts
  • important markets
  • competitor comparison prompts

Competitor alerts fire when a competitor starts running a sponsored placement that was not there in the previous window. A competitor who has advertised all along is the campaign’s baseline and is not announced again after every run.

Every alert appears in the app immediately and, when the campaign has a webhook URL, is posted to it immediately. Organization owners also receive alert emails, batched to at most one per hour per organization and grouped by campaign. Each owner can switch alert emails off in their notification preferences, and a campaign can be kept out of the email with its “Email alerts” setting.

Use email for human review. Use webhooks when alerts need to enter another system. See Schedules and Alerts for how alerts are evaluated.

Start with a small number of alert conditions. Add more after you know which movements matter.

Good alert setups are:

  • tied to a specific owner
  • tied to a decision
  • limited to important prompts and markets
  • reviewed regularly

Open AI Visibility in the app. Open the campaign from the AI Visibility list, then review its alert settings and recent alerts. Use Notifications for account-wide alert history.
