Marketplace and Retail Search Checks
Research how product and retail queries appear across markets and devices.
Retail and marketplace teams can use iSearchFrom two ways: to watch where products rank on the marketplaces themselves, and to inspect the Google results that surround them.
Which tool
Section titled “Which tool”| Question | Tool |
|---|---|
| Where do my products rank on Amazon, Google Shopping or Walmart? | Marketplace Visibility |
| How many ads sit above my listing, and what is my price standing? | Marketplace Visibility |
| What does the Google SERP look like for a product query? | Search Engine Proxy |
| Who is bidding on my category in Google Ads? | Ads Position Tracker |
Recommended workflow
Section titled “Recommended workflow”- Create a project for the category or market.
- Create a Marketplace Visibility campaign covering the shelves you sell on — several at once, since rank on one says little without the others.
- Track the products by id where you can, and by brand everywhere, so variants and bundles are caught too.
- Use Search Engine Proxy for the surrounding Google results.
- Compare mobile and desktop where shoppers differ.
- Save searches that support merchandising or content decisions.
Useful query types
Section titled “Useful query types”- product category queries
- brand + product queries
- competitor product queries
- local availability queries
- price-sensitive queries
- comparison queries
What to look for
Section titled “What to look for”- marketplaces ranking above retailers
- shopping modules or product carousels
- competitor ads
- image or video-heavy SERPs
- local pack results
- AI Overview content
- related searches that suggest demand
- Use mobile checks when customers commonly shop on phones.
- Use country and language settings together for international retail.
- Track competitor ads separately from organic rankings.
- Save representative SERPs before making merchandising recommendations.
