Example project setup
Section titled “Example project setup”Project: Local SEO - AustinTracked domains:- client.com- competitor-a.com- competitor-b.com
Keywords:- emergency plumber austin- best plumber near me- drain cleaning austinWhat to look for
Section titled “What to look for”- local pack or places results
- organic ranking changes
- competitors appearing above the client
- city-specific landing pages
- mobile vs desktop differences
- AI Overview presence
- related searches that suggest content opportunities
- Prefer map pin (coordinates) targeting for anything you re-run or track: city names geocode approximately and can land on a different point each run, while a pin gives repeatable, pin-point results — even districts of the same city can return different SERPs.
- Use map pin targeting when neighborhood-level differences matter.
- Keep one campaign per city if each market has different competitors.
- Use weekly tracking for normal monitoring and manual runs before reporting.
- Save Search Engine Proxy results that show important SERP layout changes.
